Job Summary

Responsible for delegating day of roles to banquet team members and encourage excellence and unity within the team. Work alongside the Banquet Manager to assess the needs of an event and lead the execution of the event at the highest level of service.

Essential Job Functions

  • Discuss event details with Banquet Manager, Event Specialists, and the Kitchen Team
  • Supervising the event layout of tables, chairs, cutlery, plates, glasses, table linens, and Willows décor
  • Supervising the catering layout in multiple locations and styles including chafers, heat lamps and tablescaping
  • Communicate with Kitchen Team on timeline and placement of catering items
  • Oversee the service of meals and clearing of tables
  • Maintaining an inventory list of venue items as well as alcohol stock
  • Responsible for overseeing the bar, working within the payment system and handling all cash
  • Communicate ordering needs to the kitchen as per needed
  • Connect with clients and guests and answer any questions during an event in an accommodating way
  • Plans out the scheduling of cleaning, security and linen orders
  • Works alongside the Banquet Manager to train any new banquet servers hired

  • 3-5 years of experience as a banquet lead, or similar preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Works in temperature controlled environment
  • Vision for near, mid-range and far as well as hearing for low, medium, and high pitch
  • Superior communication skills with co-workers, customers, trade partners and vendors.
  • Requires physical ability for standing, sitting, crouching, kneeling, frequent walking, reaching above head and below waist
  • Must have a current and valid driver’s license and must be able to be insured by company fleet insurance.
  • Must be able to perform all job expectations safely with or without reasonable accommodations
  • Ability to lift 25-40 pounds

Hours & Schedule

  • Average 30-40 hours a week
  • Days, nights and weekends required
  • Occasional travel to other company regions or event locations required
