Job Summary

As a Film Production Specialist, you will serve the mission and vision of Kingdom At Work by acting as the producer for all things related to video production, from concept to completion. You will work directly with the Film Production Manager to create creative, compelling, beautiful, documentary-style short films. This person is a creative storyteller at heart with the skills and talent to bring their vision to life

Essential Job Functions

Video & Written Story Production

  • Serve as the primary point person for all research, storyboarding, interviews, and production details for all Kingdom At Work related films
  • Assist in the discovery of new stories by researching podcasts, blogs, etc., and interviewing a wide range of business leaders in order to uncover potential film subjects
  • Lead creative storyboarding process through pre-production interviews, story development, and shot listing
  • Support and assist in the post-production editing, color, and underscore selection processes for all Kingdom At Work video projects
  • Oversee the preparation, duplication, and delivery of video and related materials for a variety of distribution channels including the internet, external hard drives, and cloud-based backups
  • In advance of video productions, the Film Production Specialist will coordinate production crew, production schedule, locations, and equipment
  • Oversee the setup and testing of cameras, tapeless media, microphones, lights, video monitors and related equipment
  • Assist in appropriately stewarding, creating, and promoting video content on a regular basis that is in line with Biblical Christian teachings and worldview

Marketing & Distribution

  • Provide support during the production phase of the Kingdom At Work Podcast and oversee the editing process
  • Collaborate with the Kingdom At Work team to identify new audiences to target with brand awareness through visual media

Kingdom At Work Events

  • Provide support in all phases of planning and production for all Lubbock-based Kingdom Leadership Workshops, and engagement efforts
  • Support and assist team efforts for select regional and international events

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Required: Thorough awareness of Biblical Christian teaching
  • Required: Mature understanding of Biblical Christian worldview, and the ability to articulate these principles to others through both written and verbal mediums
  • Required: 3 years of experience in video production, including story boarding, audio capture, lighting setup, & camera operation
  • Required: 3 years of experience with video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro or Apple Final Cut Pro
  • Required: Excellent verbal and written communication skills – the ability, through interviews, to draw out of people great stories and details that may not be obvious to others, as well as the ability to take complex principles and synthesize them into clear ideas that cast vision and engage an external audience
  • Required: Great with people and outgoing – can easily approach others for pictures, quotes, etc.
  • Required: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in film production or related field

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Works in temperature-controlled environment
  • Vision for near, mid-range and far as well as hearing for low, medium, and high pitch
  • Superior communication skills with co-workers, customers, trade partners and vendors.
  • Requires physical ability for standing, sitting, crouching, kneeling, frequent walking, reaching above head and below waist
  • Must have a current and valid driver’s license and must be able to be insured by company fleet insurance.
  • Must be able to perform all job expectations safely with or without reasonable accommodations
  • Ability to lift 30-50 pounds

Hours & Schedule

  • 40-45 hrs/week (Flexible) (between 7:30am and 5pm)
  • Max 5 hrs Overtime
  • After hours and weekends may be necessary on occasion for trips, or to meet deadlines.
