Role Overview
The Pre-Build Coordinator will arrange, coordinate, complete and check work that is required to prepare for starting construction on homes. Included are tasks for permits, homesites, starts, help tickets, data entry & tool maintenance. Pre-Build Coordinators will also monitor dashboards task completion deadlines and timeliness, coordinate inter-departmental operations, and seek constant improvement. Coordinator tasks also include foundations coordination, Geographic Information Service data input, dashboard updates, and coding edits.
Core Functions
- Permits – Monitor, prepare, edit, assemble, submit, retrieve, and check all documents and coordinate with all departments or government agencies necessary to obtain timely Permits in Hand. Reconcile Permit invoices and fees.
- Drawing Sets – Prepare, run, compile, check and verify that all required Architectural job drawings and other construction documents are present in job folder and viewable in the system.
- Starts – Research, operate Starts tools, serve and advise Regions through all facets of setting and adjusting Starts.
- Tickets – Watch, examine, notify, assign and quickly and satisfactorily solve help desk tickets sent from customers the field, office, and Regional staff or governments.
- Homesites – Create, edit, draw, check and release completed documents and data required for Community File creation and Homesite preparation.
- Geographic Information Systems – Revise, edit, process, add and import both data and mapping elements.
- Foundations – Investigate, coordinate, inspect, draw, advance, and ensure soils and foundations engineering preparation for slab construction.
- Analytics – Discover, edit, collaborate, and assist team to improve task monitor dashboard products. Evaluate, access, troubleshoot, repair, or edit code used for various processes.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
- Office environment
- Vision for near, mid-range and far as well as hearing for low, medium, and high pitch.
- Requires physical ability for standing, sitting, crouching, kneeling, frequent walking, reaching above head and below waist.
- Must have a current and valid driver’s license and must be able to be insured by company fleet insurance.
- Ability to lift up 5-20 pounds.
Hours and Schedule
- Average 40 hours per week (8am-5pm, M-F)
