2025

“The corporation will demonstrate this purpose by raising people up to their God-given potential and enabling them to flourish spiritually, personally, and professionally. Also, the corporation will partner generously with other organizations that share a similar purpose. The corporation will focus upon its own employees and their families, upon the people with whom it has direct interactions, and upon the broader world. In carrying out its mission, profitability shall not be the sole factor in determining the goals and activities of the corporation."

--Betenbough Companies, PBC Articles of Incorporation

Hey Betenbough Family,

Welcome to 2023! Before we get too engaged in what is ahead for us, we should stop and thank God for 2022, so thank you, Lord! The quote above is straight out of our incorporation documents for Betenbough Companies, PBC and I thought some of you might not know that our Purpose is stated in our corporate documents for the State of Texas. As a reminder, most corporations have “profit” as their stated primary purpose. Therefore, for them, an annual report is really just financial statements. To be clear, we are a for-profit company as well. Profit is not evil or wrong. In fact, we need it to flourish. But it is not the highest pursuit for us. In fact, we believe that if our highest pursuit is for the people to flourish and for us to work together to that end, profit will be the natural fruit of those efforts!

Since we have a different purpose, even as a for-profit corporation, we have an Impact Report as our annual report. We have stated that we want to enable our people to flourish spiritually, personally, and professionally and our Impact Report exists to tell those stories. We want to make an impact!

And we have had impact. When we really care about each other and work together for everyone’s benefit, there will be impact. We have heard so many stories of impact and we selected a few to share with everyone and celebrate together.

As Dad and I have struggled with our health this past year, I want you to know that YOU have had a big impact on us! Your texts, calls, visits, and prayers have cheered us on, and encouraged us. We are so blessed to call you family and your love is healing for us!

We love you and thank God for you, and we pray this will be a blessed year for each one of you!

Psalm 9:1 - “I will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart; I will recount all of your wonderful deeds.”

Hey, Betenbough Team,

It’s hard to believe that 2026 is already here – but it is! And as we look ahead, I can’t help but pause in awe of all that God has done in and through us this past year.

It’s been just over two years since the passing of our co-founder and CEO, Rick Betenbough, followed by the passing of his dad and founding partner, Ron, and then Holly’s transition off our Board of Directors. For the first time, there’s no Betenbough family member in the building…but God. He has remained faithful, present, and unmistakably at work. His guidance continues to shape our decisions and advance the purpose He planted here long ago.

Culture Shock
Team Members' First Year Experiences
Image
From the very first interview, Jaquelyn felt the culture was radically different. Leaders weren’t skimming a résumé — they had studied her DISC profile, paid attention to her season of life, and could see past the “mask” she brought into the room. The shock wasn’t the interview questions…it was being genuinely known, welcomed, and invited to show up authentically.

For Mark, the surprise was that work-life balance wasn’t a buzzword — it was lived out. When it’s family time, it’s family time. Leaders walk shoulder-to-shoulder through hard seasons, honoring real life, real emotions, and real limits. That level of care — having a leader present through hard moments — was completely new to him.

Zach expected “people first” to mean employees or customers. Instead, he discovered it includes every person connected to the company — trades, teammates, families, and more. From interest-only trade loans to coworkers taking him out to lunch nonstop, he experienced the culture lived out. It was a shock to see “kingdom through the marketplace” actually practiced.

"My first year at Betenbough has been genuinely life-changing. The culture here isn’t just talked about — it’s lived out daily through faith, humility, and purpose. My faith has deepened, and I’ve grown both professionally and personally in ways I never expected."

"Betenbough has truly been an answered prayer for me and my family. After 16 years in the world of public education, I came to Betenbough and experienced culture shock in the BEST way! Wow! The way they lead us to Christ and encourage us in our walk with Him has truly impacted me in the most precious way. The desire to see us and help us grow in all areas of life has been a breath of fresh air. Where I used to come home from a long day of work as a school counselor, exhausted with nothing left to give to my family, I now come home from my day at Betenbough filled with gratitude, enthusiasm, and a cup that overflows with appreciation for what this company does to pour into us day in and day out. What a blessing it is to be able to work for Betenbough Companies! I will never take it for granted!"

“Betenbough Companies has profoundly impacted my family and I, both professionally and spiritually. Through this community, I’ve been able to step into what God has called me to, growing in confidence and purpose in His Kingdom. My time here has strengthened not only my identity as a son of God but also my calling as a husband and father.”

"My experience at Betenbough has been incredible. I heard about how amazing Betenbough was, but I didn’t know how true it was until I was able to experience it firsthand. I love being able to work somewhere that I don’t dread going to work and look forward to it. I feel like I have grown in many ways already only being here a short time and look forward to what the future holds here."
