Defining Culture

Our Core Values

Our culture is built upon and guided by core values. We work to intentionally shape a healthy culture in which our purpose and mission can be successfully accomplished. We hold all of our team members to each of these values as a Betenbough Companies employee.

Submit to and honor one another in humility

Talk to one another, not talk about one another

Doesn't mean uniformity, but instead appreciating differences

Be willing to disagree and commit to the decision made

Seek to understand someone else's perspective, not prove yours is right

Humbly embrace feedback

Adapt to change

Be willing to try something new

Commit to a lifestyle of learning, not just being promoted

Not perfection, but bringing your best

Make it better, even if it's already pretty good

Act with a sense of urgency

Refuse mediocrity

Don't fear failure; constantly tinker

Take responsibility

Manage resources in a way that brings a return

Pursue gratefulness, not entitlement

Be open-handed and willing to share time, knowledge and natural abilities

Adopt an abundance mindset versus a scarcity mindset

Work + Life

Life is so much more than just work.

Our team members have priorities outside of work, so time to recharge and connect is needed. Be encouraged to take time to travel, enjoy your hobbies, and spend quality time with family and friends. Our employees can do both – work hard, play hard!

We want you to come to work understanding you don’t have to hide who you are or what you’re going through.

Investing your time and effort isn’t a one way street here either. We want to invest in your growth with training, conferences and travel.

With the dedication many of us have to our work, we also do not want you to hide behind your job here. We want you to be able to disconnect and focus on you and your family.

Enjoy R&R with paid time off, maternity/paternity leave, one month sabbatical after 10 years of employment and more!

Employee Owned

All full time employees are part owners at Betenbough Companies. Not only is this a tangible retirement benefit, it stresses the importance of YOU and the work you do! Your work impacts not only the company and the community, but you as well.

So many companies say they believe in family and being ‘family first,’ but Betenbough truly lives that out.
