Role Overview
Support the administration of employee health and wellness benefits by assisting with day-to-day processes, communication, and employee questions. Help coordinate open enrollment for medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and leave programs. Additionally, advocate for wellness benefits by maintaining partnerships with wellness providers and helping employees connect with available resources. This role emphasizes strong organization, clear communication, and a commitment to excellent service while learning and growing in benefits administration.
Core Functions
- Strategically develop and administer benefits, ensuring smooth implementation and management, including open enrollment processes.
- Foster strong partnerships with external health insurance providers and vendors to enhance support for Betenbough Companies and its employees.
- Respond promptly and professionally to employee inquiries regarding health insurance, providing clear and accurate guidance.
- Handle life events and status updates related to health insurance, HSAs, and other benefits with diligence and attention to detail.
- Safeguard compliance, reporting, and confidentiality by meticulously managing health insurance systems, claims, and processes to uphold ethical standards.
- Collaborate closely with all Health & Wellness team members to align benefits offerings with holistic wellness initiatives, ensuring employees experience integrated support across all areas of wellbeing.
- Deliver key insights by generating and presenting relevant data and reports for health and wellness initiatives, empowering senior leadership with actionable metrics.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field
Preferred Qualifications
- 1-2 years experience with self-funded benefits in an organization with 100+ employees
- Proficient in basic accounting principles
- Proficient in Excel
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
- Office environment.
- Vision for near, mid-range and far as well as hearing for low, medium and high pitch.
- Requires physical ability for standing, sitting, crouching, kneeling, frequent walking, reaching above head and below waist.
- Must have a current and valid driver’s license and must be able to be insured by company fleet insurance.
- To be considered for this position, you must be at least 18 years old in accordance with company policies and applicable labor laws
- Ability to lift 5 – 20 pounds.
Hours and Schedule
- 40 hours per week (8am-5pm, M-F).
- Minimal travel required for company events and inter-region collaboration.
