
Communications Specialist
Role Overview
Serve as lead for all social media accounts, website, external communication and create content that is relevant and up-to-date, while making certain that the site communicates the mission in a clear and accessible way.
Core Functions
- Serve as lead for all social media accounts and create and post content according to best practices. When necessary, engage our organization’s marketing team for assistance and expertise.
- Manage Kingdom at Work website: ensure that relevant and up-to-date content is always displayed, while making certain that the site communicates the mission in a clear and accessible way.
- Create engaging content for various platforms, i.e. reels, posts, articles, etc. that creates urgency and moves people to action.
- Email blasts: create and schedule email blasts to our various audiences.
- Blog creation: Create and collaborate with the marketing team to create engaging and relevant blog posts.
- Strategically and creatively identify ways to reach our target audiences by product type and enhance the experience for attendees and/or users.
- Create and execute editorial on the socials calendar.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- High spiritual and emotional intelligence- displays spiritual, social and self-awareness in order to challenge, encourage and to bring accountability that results in spiritual transformation.
- Experience as a social media specialist or similar position.
- Ability to use social media for impressions and brand awareness for platforms including LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok.
- Content creation- written, photo and video.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Marketing, Journalism, Advertising, Communications, or related field.
- Three to five years of related experience writing and editing projects; portfolio of relevant previous projects.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
- Vision for near, mid-range and far as well as hearing for low, medium and high pitch.
- Requires physical ability for standing, sitting, crouching, kneeling, frequent walking, reaching above head and below waist.
- Must have a current and valid driver’s license and must be able to be insured by company fleet insurance.
- Ability to lift 5 – 20 pounds.
Hours and Schedule
- Average 40 hours per week (8am-5pm, M-F).
- Minimal travel required for company events and inter-region collaboration.
