About Your Future Role

From day one, your job isn’t just about supporting all the businesses at Betenbough Companies with recruitment, onboarding, separations, salary benchmarking, and compliance. It will also be about developing the people on your team to become all they were created to be.

We call it a “relational style of leadership” and it is the core of what we do and who we are.

Don’t get us wrong though, you’ll still need to be a strong operational leader devoted to excellence in how we maintain accurate candidate information, process separations and corrective conversations, help define salary ranges, onboard new employees, oversee employee compliance standards and training, and act as the liaison with outside legal counsel for employment matters. You’ll also need to show us that you love to care for others and walk into every meeting and conversation with an “owners’ mindset,” meaning you want what is best for the businesses you serve in the same way the owner of that business does. So come ready to show us you are humble, hungry, and smart and want to serve those around you with their best in mind.

Do I Qualify For This Role?

We are glad you asked! You definitely need to at least have prior human resources and leadership experience. With those endeavors under your belt, you are well on your way to being successful in this role! Beyond that, we prefer to see at least some safety and compliance experience as well as recruitment experience.

What’s the Average Week Like?

You’ll typically work 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday, to ensure the people closest to you get to experience the best of you. Occasionally we’ll also have lunch meetings and corporate gatherings that require some of your lunch or weekend hours, but those things are not the norm. A healthy work/life balance is not just one of those things we say we value… it’s expected.
