Role Overview
The Property & Facilities Specialist is responsible for supporting all teams at the Betenbough Companies’ home office by enhancing, stewarding, and preserving the physical assets and property of the organization.
Core Functions
- Facilitate the daily maintenance and upkeep of the Home Office and affiliated offices as needed
- Respond to support and project requests promptly, ensuring timely and excellent execution
- Provide exceptional guest service and clear, effective communication with internal teams and end users
- Coordinate with vendors and trade partners as needed, depending on project scope
- Manage and steward resources wisely, approaching budgets with an ownership mindset
- Maintain facilities and grounds to exceed expectations in cleanliness, functionality, and overall aesthetics
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Self-starter with a strong sense of initiative and accountability
- Keen eye for aesthetic excellence and attention to detail in physical environments
- Knowledgeable in commercial property repair and maintenance practices
- Experienced with hand and power tools, with a strong understanding of their safe and effective use
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Skilled in commercial plumbing fixture repair, including troubleshooting and replacement
- Working knowledge of commercial electrical systems, components, and safety protocols
- Extensive experience in general maintenance and repairs across various facility systems
- Effective communicator with vendors, including scheduling, coordination, and follow-up
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Office environment.
- Vision for near, mid-range and far as well as hearing for low, medium, and high pitch.
- Superior communication skills with co-workers, customers, trade partners and vendors.
- Requires physical ability for standing, sitting, crouching, kneeling, frequent walking, reaching above head and below waist.
- Frequent walking on uneven surfaces (dirt, concrete, rock, etc.).
- Must have a current and valid driver’s license and must be able to be insured by company fleet insurance.

- Must be able to perform all job expectations safely with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Ability to lift 20 – 75 pounds.
Hours & Schedule
- Average 40 hours per week (8am-5pm, M-F).
- May have to respond to after hours emergency calls. However, that is not a frequent event.
