One of the ways we reveal God and His Kingdom through our work in the marketplace is by supporting organizations within our communities. These nonprofits don’t necessarily need to have the same purpose and mission as we do to qualify for a grant, but we do look at each request through the lens of our mission as we process them with our teams.
Betenbough desires to partner with organizations that embody a relational style while also embracing a sustainable approach. Community grants should enhance the organization’s effort rather than sustain it (i.e. operating costs, salaries, rent, etc.). Recipient organizations should be able to share tangible fruit from their work. Non-evangelical organizations are eligible to apply for up to $7,500 each calendar year, and evangelical organizations are eligible to apply for up to $20,000 each calendar year.
In 2024, the Giving and Outreach team received 226 applications for Community Grants.
They, along with our teams, approved 124 of those to give a total of $1,368,040!
If you know of a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization within a Betenbough Homes region that might be a good fit for a community grant, direct them to our online application here.
