Out to Get Me

During his deployments to Afghanistan with the Marine Corps, Ramiro Cavazos experienced combat, the death of friends, and experiences that changed him forever. He came home with anxiety, depression, and a drinking problem. He hated everything and everyone, including God. After architecture school, Ramiro came to work for Betenbough Homes. He struggled to believe he deserved to work in this environment, and he couldn’t believe God could ever love him again. Then he failed a drug test. But his leaders gave him a second chance, treated him as a valued individual, and walked with him as he healed and discovered his identity in Christ. Now Ramiro is open, relational, and a mentor to his teammates. He’s a very different man from when he first joined the team, and he feels blessed to share about his journey of transformation.
