Logan and Alexis Betzen are first-time, first-generation homeowners. Owning a home had been a long-time dream, but with little to no guidance from their families, achieving this milestone seemed intimidating. The couple needed someone to educate and direct them through the home buying process.
They tried another home builder, but that company wouldn’t schedule an appointment until the Betzens were preapproved for a mortgage. That experience was frustrating, but everything changed when Logan and Alexis found Betenbough Homes in Amarillo. Alexis shares, “The people at Betenbough answered our phone calls. They were available. They listened to our situation and understood our needs. They didn’t pressure or rush us.”
The couple was in a living situation they needed out of quickly. They had limited savings and lots of questions. The Amarillo team walked with them every step of the way, providing answers, patience, honesty, and options. Alexis and Logan never felt like they were being sold a product; instead they were supported along a journey. Our team made a dream come true for this family, turning an overwhelming challenge into an easy process. Alexis describes the experience as “really refreshing.”
Closing was emotional for the Betzens. As they received the keys to their new home, Logan and Alexis couldn’t help but think of all the prayer, hard work, tears, and sacrifice that led to this enormous achievement. They were receiving a stable home for their daughter, space to host their friends, room to grow their family, and a secure place where more dreams could come true.
Courtney Grimes, new home specialist, became a friend to the Betzens during their home buying process. They invited her to their housewarming party, but Courtney was out of town and couldn’t be there. Instead she had a banner made for the party and delivered to their home. Alexis recalls, “The banner was significant. It was a sign that we’re not just another sale. We’re not just a number. Courtney made us feel like family.”
