Role Overview

The Event Sales Manager will be responsible for leading the sales efforts for events, focusing on meeting and exceeding sales goals while ensuring exceptional guest experiences. This role involves overseeing the planning and coordination of events, optimizing financials, and managing the event team to drive revenue and maintain profit margins.

Role Functions

  • Sales:
    • Seek ways to meet and exceed sales goals while maintaining excellent guest experiences
    • Create, monitor, track and bring accountability to sales team goals while coaching team on how to improve selling techniques
  • Experience:
    • Oversee team throughout the planning and coordination of events
    • Seek feedback from guests on event experience while creating and simplifying sales and event team processes to create procedures that help maintain a high level of efficiency
  • Financials:
    • Oversight of the event department through focusing on labor costs, decreasing expenses, building revenue and maintaining acceptable profit margins
  • Administrative:
    • Creating CMAs and assist implementing changes to event packages, menu selections, package inclusions to increase event sales and profit margin
    • Hiring, training, and scheduling Event Team; monthly sales report

Required Qualifications

  • High School Degree
  • Leadership Experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Business, Marketing or related field
  • Event or Sales Experience
  • Financial Literacy

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

  • Restaurant environment
  • Vision for near, mid-range and far as well as hearing for low, medium, and high pitch.
  • Requires physical ability for standing, sitting, crouching, kneeling, frequent walking, reaching above head and below waist.
  • Must have a current and valid driver’s license and must be able to be insured by company fleet insurance.
  • Ability to lift 20 – 75 pounds.

Hours and Schedule

  • Average 45 hours per week, days and weekends required.
  • Saturdays required.
  • Minimal travel required for company events and inter-region collaboration.
